Words can not describe how happy I am right now! For 2 winters our MG has leaked into the passenger footwell (a common problem). I have tried all the normal fixes and nothing worked. So armed with a guide from Honda (who recalled the civics for this same problem) I managed to find the leak.

It looks like when I re did the seams under the wing I missed one and that has failed.

The issue I face is the seam is behind an outer skin that welded on. The access hole for it is no bigger than a 2p coin.

I am unsure how I can reliably get sealant onto the seams in order to fix them through such a small hole and with next to zero visibility. I am wondering if its a good idea to make said hole bigger as I don't believe the metal to be structural.

The other plan is to fill the bd with cavity wax.

Any ideas?

Here are some shots of what its like on the other side as best I can.

Well done. A leaking car can be soul destroying so it's good to hear of someone winning.

A few years ago I went through a period of ending up with leaky cars of different makes and body styles.

Assuming that you are using silicone or similar, you could attach a length of pipe (6mm ish) to the end of the tube to allow you to get in there easier.

I think this is going to be the only way. The problem I have is being able to see the join to ensure I have done a good enough job.
