I'm considering putting an order in for a new 991 but I've seen a few articles suggesting the new Gts is due soon. Any ideas when ?

Rumour is that it's going to be released in a few months.

I've just agreed to sell my 991 GTS back to my supplying dealer for 4K higher than I paid for it.. So now I'm looking for a replacement..

Wow. Is it zero miles and unregistered?

991.2 GTS what a lovely proposition lick

With it most likely to have a turbo engine, will it be a better proposition than a lightly used 991 gen 1 turbos S ....(similar cost once the GTS is optioned up)

If a 991.2 GTS is turbo rear wheel drive and available in manual with say 450-460 hp does it not equal a 996 GT2 on paper.

Might just be the angle but doesn't look like the wide (C4) body? Well found though!

Thats a very impressive return! 991.1 GTS sounds superb. Interested to see what the .2 GTS will sounds like.

yeah but I'd guess your chances of crashing spectacularly are significantly lower in one than in the other ....

It's done 600 miles and the front end is covered in a self healing film!

I'm hoping these pictures are genuine as I'm after getting something to replace it with..

I've moved and will need something a bit more practical (4 seats) than the GT4. I've been thinking 991.1 Turbo or a 992.1 Carrera S (with all performance options and buckets). But in fact, perhaps the answer is the 991.2 GTS? Better value / residues than the Carrera S and probably a bit cheaper then a 991.1 Turbo (or somewhere around that bracket). Any input? Would a 991.1 hold its value better in the long run with it being further into the depreciation curve? On the other hand, the 991.2 has a much improved interior and the .2 GTS should be as fast around the bends, if not in a straight line...

I guess that in time, a 991.1 GTS will be more desirable than a 991.2 GTS.

991.1 = a N.A. screamer of an engine with all the accompanying pops and bangs.
991.2 = better infotainment system and a different steering wheel (are there any other interior changes I’ve missed?) but lacking vocally and it’s a turbo damnit.

How is Porsche going to entice .1 GTS owners to swop to .2 GTS? What 'something special' will they come up with? An extra 25hp just won't cut it.

2 very different cars. 4wd turbo vs 2wd drive GTS. Turbo is just savage through bends and straight line. For me it was the noise of the .1 GTS that did it for me.

Regarding residuals I think a used turbo will do better than a new .2 GTS

Hard to tell what will hold its value better without seeing the .2 GTS. I guess a good indication is how many turbo carrera's that have sold and values of them?

If you're worried about residuals buy a 991.1 GTS over a 991.2. An updated interior won't register over lure of the naturally aspirated engine and associated sound track in the future.

I have expressed an interest and I was told by Porsche Mid-Sussex that they would contact me in September, which is the release date!
