Not Tar as Tardis isnt moving it, T-Cuts and loads of elbow grease will get rid of it but it takes ages.

Car is a white Vauxhall Astra, not polished properly in a while I would guess, dealer did a perfunctory job.

Do we need a slightly more aggressive cutting polish or even a wet sand ?

Clay bar isnt moving it either.

Pics.

But at a guess, paint.

Maybe fence or metal paint.

Without pics cant really say.

If it is paint, you may be able to clay it off.

When I had the outside of my house painted, the wind caught it and blew a lovely splattering of white masonry paint on my neighbours black 325 BMW. A clay session and polish to it looking fine. smile

Have to agree that it sounds like you've been parked somewhere & caught a splattering of paint. If its household paint then clay & polish as said above although if automotive it may need a wet sand.

How old is the car? When my wife's 500 was new it had loads of small black spots, which have now rusted. I think it must have been transported by train at some point on its journey from the factory in Poland to the UK. I have to give it a good spray with IronX every year to get rid of it.
