New recorded 0-60 time
Discussion
I was racing at York again this weekend and the 0-60 speed camera was out in the right hand lane so I chose that lane for most races.
With a 70 shot of gas later on Monday afternoon I recorded 0-60 in 3.05 with a 60 foot time of 1.64.
Having done a 60 foot of 1.59 before this weekend I reckon there must be a sub 3 in the car.

Great time!
I was at the Wings & Wheels air and car show at Dunsfold on Saturday. Lots of ironwork there!
I had a mooch over to the Tesla stand. Their large, top of the range saloon, 4 wheel all electric drive and allegedly, 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds, there is no hope
Yeah but ask it to drive up to Shakey and then do it. May be like a milk float then !I was at the Wings & Wheels air and car show at Dunsfold on Saturday. Lots of ironwork there!

It's all in the driver,,, bks I should have let Derek set a time in mine at Shaky!!!
I'll be telling anyone who listens about this Derek, that's some pace mate.
Our problem was street tyres Alun and a mucky cold track crippling poor tyre choice hook up thats not a pop at Derek he certainly knows how to launch great figures there I'll be telling anyone who listens about this Derek, that's some pace mate.

Totally agree so much comes down to tyres.A decent road or track day tyre might just get you below 2 seconds to 60 foot.
Heres a little food for thought. This is while running on Mickey Thompsons. Notice the differences from a ‘cold’ tyre to a hot and sticky pair after a smokey burnout.
I had a bye run at the weekend so I did no burnout and drove off the line as you would at the traffic lights. I changed gears as I would on the road but still took the revs to 6k in each gear.
Trying hard before hand I was getting high 1.7’s to 60 foot, 1/8th in 7.8 at 89 and the ¼ in 12.1 at 112
On this relatively gentle run my 70 foot was 1.96, 1/8th in 8.2 at 86 and the ¼ in 12.75 at 110
So the difference launching hard on sticky MTs makes 2 tenths to 60 foot, 4 tenths to the 1/8th and a whopping 6 tenths to the ¼.
Fast gearchanges would only account for a tenth or 2 at best.
So you guys need to get those MTs all hot and sticky and launch hard to get into the 1.7s and the 11’s will come easy.
My 60 foot times with a 70 shot of gas were down to low 1.6’s and I ran 11.1 @ 122

Thanks for that breakdown Derek with your calcs I could see a mid 12 ish which I would be happy with A decent road or track day tyre might just get you below 2 seconds to 60 foot.
