So I gave up looking for a decent Mitsubishi GTO, much as I loved the one I owned previously.
This seemed to have the nearest spec: Audi TT S, 2+2, AWD, 3.2 V6. The garage brought it to me for a test drive today. Everything seems good. PH photo upload doesn't seem to be working today but I guess everyone knows what a black TT looks like.
OH likes it, too so I signed on the dotted line for it today; should have it serviced etc by the weekend. What do you reckon?

I've had to change browser to upload a picture.
I had a bit of luck with the insurance. I cancelled what little remained of my Direct Line policy when I sold the Grand Vitara about 10 days ago. At that time the renewal premium was over £280.
As a 'new' customer, Direct Line's premium for the TT is £202
