Getting started - product recommendations to clean my own .
Discussion
Now we have a nicer car it's time for me to learn to clean it properly. It has diamondbrite, does that change anything about what I need to do?
Been watching videos on youtube, so now I know about 2 buckets and snow foam, the shopping list is increasing over and above my basic triplewax shampoo!
Microfiber Mit
Microfiber towel
Snow foam
Lance for my karcher
Anything else to get started?
I was hoping to get on this today. But lack of planning, I bet the good stuff at he best prices need to be ordered online. Are there any regular shops that sell decent stUffington to get me going? I live in North Nottingham if that helps, so have Wilkinson, halfords, etc. I'm not looking for elite stuff that's going to break the bank, just good enough and reasonable value.
I won't ask aboutique technique, as I'm sure that's a whole different topic to products!

Personally I wouldn't bother with the snow foam and lance, it's a cool product but I've never really experienced any real benefit from it.
I was recommended Valet Pro Citrus Pre-Wash which you spray on with a pump spray bottle, actually does a fantastic job of shifting dirt which then rinses off so much more easily. I found Snow Foam never seemed loosen dirt any more than the pressure washer would anyway.

I liked the sound of it as I thought it'd help my poor bad back a bit, as it looked a lazier option.
Just finished today's clean. Just using basic triplewax shampoo and a standard wilko drying microfiber towel, which liked smearing .... starting to wonder who's bright idea it was to get a deep black pearlescent car! ??
