Just wondering who may be going and when. I've got my tickets and should be going with a few mates on the 23rd Wed.

I found the last 2 years to get better and better. Lots to do and see. but as always the bargains are not always great but i've always managed to get a deal on a few items I have bought

Yep, I will be heading up from Bristol.

Not sure what bike I will be on yet. May even take the van if it is horrid out.

I'll head up there too
It's a reasonable day out and a good chance to sit on a bunch of bikes you wouldn't normally get to play around with
+ I'm after a new helmet, and the deals there last year were decent enough. Stuff there isn't as cheap as people seem to think, but it's normally a bit less than shop price, and at least you get to see loads of different brands and have a chance to try stuff on

I go with a few mates in my car. I don't ride as I often looks at buying stuff while there. not that I always see what I want

I'll be heading up there, although not sure on which day however.

I don't agree that it's getting better and better personally - I've felt the last couple to be a bit of a let down. I do hope this year's show is great!

Not been for a couple of years so will be going this year. Liking the look of a lot of the bikes from the German show and am looking forward to seeing them.

£21 in advance plus £10 parking = £31
£25 on the day plus £12 parking = £37

OK so you can split the parking if you're with mates or bike in, but Jesus Christ...and then there's food which is easily another £20 (I've taken a packed lunch in the past).
It's a shame because I used to really like going, but the entry prices easily negate any savings you might make. Am oot.

Nah

I personally think it's a bit rubbish, although marginally better than the attempt at Excel

Going with some work colleagues on the 26th. Last year wasnt as good as the year before, and quite a few exhibitors weren't around, for example Ultimate Ear. Should be some interesting new bikes to have a look at and sit on like the Ducati Supersport.
Prices for gear tends to be slightly above what you pay on the internet, but at least you get to try stuff on. On previous visits have bought a new helmet and leather trousers.

Probably not going, I missed Excel this year and that is round the corner from me.

I've been a few times - I did always like the 'real' bikers changing out of the boot/hatchback of their car in the carpark into leathers to walk around the show lol

Ultimate Arse and Tit exhibitors where in attendance everywhere to make up for it thou.

I always enjoy the day out up there with a few friends but your right what you say about needing to compare prices on kit, that said we did get a great deal on a lid last year...I begrudge paying the ridiculous catering prices so take a packed lunch, as many others do.

I thought this was useful.

If you are mulling over a few bikes its useful to hop straight off one and on to another to get a good back to back comparison.

Not every dealership would have a Daytona 675r / GSXR 750 / 899 Panigale and CBR 600RR all in one place to do this.

Agreed. The price nowadays is ridiculous

I dont mind the 'once a year' price. Some tight buggers about.

Its a great show if youre a biker.

This.

I treat it as a day out and a chance to try some kit without having to go to ten different shops. And some eye candy to enjoy inbetween. And it's something to look forward to during the cold and wet Novembers..
