I've got the Audi Letter encouraging me to have the 'emissions scandle' redcard special retune applied to my 2011 A3 2.0 TDI. My Audi dealer also asked if I wanted it retuned when I got it serviced.

This is the software update, not the 'modification' done to some models.

They say it will not effect the performance of the engine. driving

I would like to hear how people are getting on with their cars following the software re-tune? readit

The thing is, the economy is really good on the car (70 mpg on occasions). I don't want to loose that or the smooth running of the car (or the performance).

They did my 2012 A4 in May this year i had done 100k before the update in it I then did another 3k after the update before changing it and can honestly say I didn't notice any difference.
They say they did it I don't think they did anything to it at all.

If there is no effect to performance or fuel efficiency, why would they cheat in the first place since this update brings emissions in line with law.
