Thanks very much for the kind comments.
Yes, the colour combo really can change the character of the car more than I would have imagined. In black or white with a black or red interior it looks far more aggressive. In the combo I've bought it gives the impression of a luxurious GT. I must say that's not the look I was originally going for but actually it probably suits my job and personality better.
The car has a leather finish on the front seat backs. This worries me a little as I'll often have my two boys getting into the back so I can see it getting marked/damaged.
Anybody have any clever ideas about what I could use to protect the seat backs without spoiling the look of the car?
Thanks very much

Congrats on purchase.
I went through similar thoughts about colour scheme when bought a 2013 991 TTS in Agate Grey with the two tone interior (Black/Platinum) and asked for a black/black 991 TTS to be put side by side to it when deciding. I was coming out of a black/black 997 TTS and decided browny-grey was the way to go for daily driver...must be getting old.

Congrats, were you able to get the deal you wanted?
Tbh the dealer played hard ball when it came to negotiations so I didn't get much off the listed price. I wanted some aftermarket stuff added and he didn't give me much discount on those either. Even when I played hard to get and didn't contact them for a week they didn't give way! However I think the car was already fairly priced and more importantly the dealer has been excellent. All calls and emails answered, all queries dealt with quickly and he's been ringing me daily with an update as the car is being prepped.
They've definitely made me feel as though my business matters to them and my whole experience with them from my very first phone call has been very positive.
It's just a shame that they're not my local dealer!

I agree with many here - that looks lovely and a proper DD, and GT express. Schnell Schnell !
It'll go like the bloody clappers, and yet not shout it out at all.
A brave and sensible choice compared to many of the more gregarious obvious colour combos IMHO

I've had a few weeks with this car and am loving it! I haven't really had the chance to gun it yet but have had a small taste of the power available.
I think I made a mistake not asking the dealer to turn the power steering plus off before I took delivery. I might get that done early next year.
It's a beautiful car to look at (imho) and a beautiful cabin to sit in. A very very minor gripe is the sat nav screen which seems really low res and its not very good at up to date traffic conditions/congestion. I know the sat nav is hardly the most important thing in a 'super car' but given this car cost over £150k new I'd expect a bit better.
I must also remark on just how good the all round visibility is on these cars, it's my first 911 of any kind. There doesn't seem to be all those blind spots you get in other cars.
I'm sure it's a coincidence but in the short time I've had the car I've had two people cut me up very dangerously on the road. I'm hoping it's just a coincidence and not a reaction to the car.
I have started a separate thread on the matter but if anybody knows of a good wheel alignment centre for this car in London/Home Counties I'd be very grateful
Cheers

I used to get raced/cut off ALL the time in my 991 C2S, was just getting rediculous in the end (and a little dangerous!). One of things I do not miss about that car, seemed to bring the worst out in all the scroats!!
