Well the day has finally arrived! It's being delivered today and I'm peering out the window every two minutes like a small kid lol

I've had a few weeks with this car and am loving it! I haven't really had the chance to gun it yet but have had a small taste of the power available.

I think I made a mistake not asking the dealer to turn the power steering plus off before I took delivery. I might get that done early next year.

It's a beautiful car to look at (imho) and a beautiful cabin to sit in. A very very minor gripe is the sat nav screen which seems really low res and its not very good at up to date traffic conditions/congestion. I know the sat nav is hardly the most important thing in a 'super car' but given this car cost over £150k new I'd expect a bit better.

I must also remark on just how good the all round visibility is on these cars, it's my first 911 of any kind. There doesn't seem to be all those blind spots you get in other cars.

I'm sure it's a coincidence but in the short time I've had the car I've had two people cut me up very dangerously on the road. I'm hoping it's just a coincidence and not a reaction to the car.

I have started a separate thread on the matter but if anybody knows of a good wheel alignment centre for this car in London/Home Counties I'd be very grateful

Cheers

Any update from Deep on how your getting on with the car? Still trying to decide which way to go!
Sorry mate, I thought this thread had died long ago.

I'm really enjoying the car but bear in mind its my first 911, though I've owned some other half decent cars ie AMGs and M cars. It has insane power/torque which is always accessible ie you can never really find yourself in the wrong gear at anytime. The handling is very good but I must admit the turn in isn't as sharp as the 991.2 C2S I test drove, but that car was under powered for my appetite for super car pace.

If I were going to swap it for another £100k + car it wouldn't be for a Conti or similar. A car like that obviously won't have the dynamic abilities of the 911 TT. I would only swap it for something with more drama ie Mclaren, Ferrari etc.

But there's a reason I didn't even look at those cars and that's practicality (and increased cost lol). I drive the 911 everyday to work, I go shopping in it and pick my two boys up from school in it. I wouldn't be able to do that in any of the more 'exotic' cars. It's also why I didn't go for a GT3 model.

So for me it ticks all the boxes. There are other cars out there that do certain things better but there is no car out there that does all the things that the 911 does. Its in a class of one.

This suits me down to the ground but I fully understand why it might be the exact same reason that puts some people off the car.

All the best

I have a 991.2 TS which I bought to replace a 991.1 GT3 which I had for 18 months and did 9,500 miles driving daily. I personally prefer the GT3, the TS is very easy to drive fast, the GT3 requires far more respect IMHO. GT3 has great character, just waiting for the .2
If I didn't need the two back seats I would have bought the best GT3 that my budget would have allowed. I have no doubt that the GT3 is the more involving drive but my sons would never have forgiven me if I had bought a Porsche that they both couldn't ride in lol

In addition I also do appreciate the 4wd in weather like this. Again, some might call that boring, but I want the ability to make rapid progress even when the weather is bad.

In an ideal world (where I am a highly paid cage fighter..) I'd like a 991 TS and a 991 GT3 RS!

Sat in a 991 Turbos S today and instantly knew it was the car for me, just felt like home and I was excited as to what the turbo could bring. Not many about at the moment so the search will begin!!
If you've never owned a 911 turbo you'll find it very different to the 'vanilla' models. A couple of downsides ie the sound and a slightly less keen turn in but the power is on a different level.

Happy hunting!

Anyone got any thoughts on this car, seems a little too cheap.....

Now that is cheap, it's a one owner vehicle as well. I hope prices haven't dropped that much in the the two months since I bought mine!
