Hi
Does anyone have any experience of a service that provides a landline number that you can use via your mobile. I'm looking for a 0208 number. I would like a free trial of such a service with a UK number

Try the Yellow Pages, I've been able to use every landline number in there I've tried perfectly via my mobile, there are lots; and best of all, it's free!

I wasn't aware this was a mobile phone forum to be honest. Have you looked here?

Am I right in assuming you want to call people and it show and landline number and you want to recieve calls that are made to a landline number on your mobile?

You could try voipfone and install an app on your phone.

Downside will be you must have internet for it to work.

Get an iP line with geo over number and direct calls to your mobile seamlessly.
Try Wirral telecom who does ours

I'm sure Vodafone used to offer something similar to what I think you are lloking for.

A landline number you can advertise that is your mobile.

Not sure if they still do it, or they have changed it a bit and now call it One Net.

I use http://www.sipgate.co.uk -- you get a local number for free and then you install a SIP client on your mobile phone (I use 3CX although it seems to not exist in the app store anymore). Now when someone calls my geographic number it rings on my mobile.

A business I know use Vodaphone and have virtual local number land lines routed to their mobiles, from memory approx £10 a month per number.

I took a different path to give me flexibility when my business grows and just routte my personal home lamd line to my mobile which BT charge £5 a minth for. The landline has never had a phone attached as it is just used for BT broadband so it made semse for me. If I take on an office in the fututre I can then port the number to there or re route it to a different fowarding number.
