Hello all, now that the i8 prices seem to have reached a "sensible" number I am considering taking the plunge. I have watched all the you tube videos I can find, but wanted some experience from British owners. How do you find it on our roads? Can you get in and out the car when squeezed into a tescos car park? Lots of reviews commented on blind spots and questionable visibility. Is it that bad?

Cheers in advance.

It's a brilliant car - love mine, and does everything it's meant to. I even like the synthesized sounds in Sport mode, and the serenity in full Electric mode. Luggage space is laughable - tiny boot, so the back seats regularly get used for bags etc. Space is only good for small kiddies anyway.
Not been trapped out in car park - yet; but generally do park sensibly - and if possible on the end of a line to avoid having to perform a limbo into the car. In reality, the door only needs about 500mm to swing up, but if a tw@t parks super close, you could be caught out.
Never had a problem with visibility - it's no worse really than any other 'super/performance' car I've owned.
It's still a rare sight on the roads and turns heads. I'm just looking forward to the Roadster version later next year/2018. Already stuck a deposit down for one :-)

It is a shame that the new remote parking tech on the 7 and the 5 Series which allows you to remotely move a car out of a supermarket type space, isn't yet available on the i8. It sounds like the one car which really needs it.
