Facebook friends you might like

Can someone explain to me how this works?

I hired some portaloos off a company and had dealings with someone via my gmail. I might have spoke to them on the phone.

Now my facebook is suggesting I become friends with her, photo attached. Whilst the tattoos are a work of art, I am am sure she doesn't want to be friends with boring old me.



So does this mean that gmail has a link to facebook? I have another contact I have only emailed who is appearing as a friend suggestion so its not just that person. If so can I opt out!!

I might have had the facebook app installed at the time.

If you had the app installed then yes, it monitors your contacts. You can block it in the app permissions. That or she looked you up on Facebook, as already mentioned.

Phone contacts. I get it all the time - no mutual friends but have text the people.
