Lease car - Remap
Discussion

If you're not interested in the ethical or moral implications then what relevance is there to even SAYING it's a lease car?
The relevance is he wants to know if anyone else has been caught out tinkering with someone else's property, and what the cost implications were.OP, things will probably be fine for you unless it all goes wrong, let's say you crash it, or the engine goes bang, they are going to be looking into why, and you won't be able to remove all traces of this remap.

Anyone had a lease car remapped whether it be a tuning box or ecu remap?
Particularly a VW or anything from the VAG group

not interested in do gooders saying oh its a lease blah de blah or buy it
if you haven't had one remapped don't comment simple
So if you are not asking about the contractual side of things you must be asking about the technical side of things.if you haven't had one remapped don't comment simple
Yes you can remap a lease car the same as a purchased car. - It's not like pay as you go phones and contract phones having different software on them.
If you are asking about the morals and contractual side of doing this why do you only want people to answer who agree with you?
Because you're a fragile little poppet?
