I've been having trouble finding a replacement reversing/hitch camera for the father in law. He managed to smash the camera, and needs a new one.

This is an aftermarket kit fitted to his ISUZU DMax by the dealer.

I've followed the lead from the camera back to a connector socket and this is the connector on the lead from the camera.

There is also a red lead coming from the connector that this plugs into and appears to go off to the reverse light (I assume the trigger wire, not power).

This is quite different to all the other ones I can find on ebay, gearbest etc. These are either the normal yellow RCA or the four pin screw in types.

Does anyone recognise the above connector and could point me in the right direction? The dealer wants £100 + VAT to replace it and I'm sure the camera isn't more than £20 on it's own.

That looks like a 2.5mm jack plug. You could always buy a 2.5mm to yellow RCA adaptor lead and then buy an appropriate camera with an RCA fitting. First hit for the lead on ebay was £3.

I did think about that, but the connector has a third band of black most 2.5mm jacks seem to have just the 2 bands.

Audio, video and power...should be able to get an adapter on ebay

Something like this, or one of the million variants available:

I think yours looks like 3.5mm
