Okay, I am waiting for delivery of my Denso Iridium Twin Tip plugs IW16TT.

Now these have a resistor unlike my existing NGK B7ECS.

I am running the standard ECU 14CUX with Magnacore cables and (I believe) standard plug extenders.

Will this be too much resistance ?

Indeed you will be fine like that, but as funds permit I'd also recommend deleting those extenders altogether.

You will need to protect your plug ends in another way but those extenders are proven to be a source of misfires so ditching them is only a good thing.

Here's my system that's been extensively field tested and proven itself to be 100% reliable over a period in excess of two years:

I like my super low resistance MSD Superconductor leads too, but your Magnecor blues should be perfectly fine.

If you're going from the highly inappropriate NGK B7ECS to the far more up-to-date design Denso TT iridiums I'd be very surprised if you don't feel immediate benefits.

Way back in 2012 when I was "Chimpofdarkness" I did a very similar thing on my then standard Chimaera, in my case I went from the original B7ECS TVR specified to a set of NGK BPR6EIX iridium plugs.

This was over four years ago and I've never looked back, you can read about the results I got way back then here...

I know there are still some doubting Thomas' out there and I accept it's hard to translate improvements in engine running into words over a forum, it's all very subjective, but saying that images seldom lie.

So here's what my old B7ECS came out looking like...

And after just 500 miles this is what my new iridium plugs settled to...

Forget all the words, these two images should tell you everything you need to know wink
