General Fiat 500 questions for new fiat driver

Hello,
I have a number of questions regarding the Fiat 500 – I’ve already posted a few on this forum and everyone has been so helpful but this car is a learning curve for me and I still have many questions…..
1. When the oil is ready to be topped up will an ‘oil’ sign appear on the dashboard?
2. When I need to add more water/coolent/anti freeze will this also appear on the dashboard or do I have to manually check this weekly?
3. Ref adding more water – should this be a mixture of water and anti-freeze 50% each (pre-mixed )of should I just top up with water only?
4. Ref servicing – Fiat recommends this is carried out but how do I know when the car needs servicing? I assume after certain mileage or does a ‘servicing’ sign appear on the dashboard? I think perhaps it is a spanner symbol???
5. Ref my rear window wiper – there is no water coming out of this – is this normal? I assume it would spray water to clean the window? Does this mean I should add more water?
It would be great if anyone who drives a Fiat500 knows answers to the above…..
For an oil sign to appear you would usually be running on dangerously low oil levels, you should never let it get this far.
All your fluids need to be checked manually by lifting the bonnet and looking on a regular basis, your owners manual should explain the procedures for your motor.
As for rear wiper, look on the car and on the wiper for the holes where screen wash would come out, if you see holes then yes it should come out and you have a problem.

thank you - very helpful - i have worked out the window wiper - the stalk needs to be pushed forward and water appears! I didnt think of pushing it forward as I have always pulled the stalk towards me for water - as in my old car! this is all helpful to know - I am not yet too confident about checking all the fluid levels myself so I shall see if I can find someone to show me - talk me through the process
...still a bit unsure about:
- SERVICING - when this is to be done - after a certain number of miles - have checked in servicing schedule and have one stamp to show when it was last serviced in 2015! I then checked my menu in car and went to servicing section at the num,ber that appears there is 16,203 miles - which I assume relates to the mileage for the next service? However, when I purchased the car from dealer it already had 17,000 miles on but there is no service stamp in the service schedule so I am wondering if this number above related to the next servicing and whether or not the dealer carried this out at 16,203 miles! It's now ell over this!
- PRE MIXED SOLUTION FOR WATER TOP UP - whether to top up water with a pre-mixed solution
Assuming you mean coolant, you can buy premixed, you have to make sure it's the same as what's in the system already, (can't mix blue with pink)
As for servicing, your owners manual should tell you how often it should be done (basically - oil/filter change & air filter change every year/12000 miles - depending on car)
