Just got an email from the dealer I bough my V8V from (the well known one beginning with an S) - offering me a "one to one appointment" as apparently I "may qualify for a promotional upgrade or be entitled to receive benefits for your existing vehicle".

Anyone have any idea what this is likely to be and more to the point, is it worth my time looking into?

I guess it's only the time of a phone call that you'd be losing, so why not?

I suspect so too.

Oh well - when I get my Nigerian lottery win, i'll be able to buy all the upgrades I want and so won't need freebies biggrin

I do fancy a V12 roadster with a manual gearbox......do you think that is the kind of 'upgrade' the email is talking about biggrin

I recall a phone call I got from a salesman at my dealers a few years after buying the V8.

He started the conversation by telling me he had a customer looking for the specific colour combination and extras that my car had and he could do me a great deal.

I told him it would have to be better than great to even tempt me but go ahead, let's hear it.

Shamelessly his next question was "right, what colour is your car, what's it spec......"

How I laughed....... smile

I get these regularly from Volvo. I even hiked over there the first time as was contemplating another XC90.

The offer was, as expected, not "special". It was utter bks and basically brought the price to within a smidge of places like DriveTheDeal (but still over).

They keep sending them out. I politely remind them about the time I went over and unless the deals were better than that by the margins I advised them of before that I wouldn't be wasting my time. It goes quiet then for a few months.
