Hi all,
can report i have finally had my faulty indicator in the headlamp repaired for the fraction of the price of a new unit at "that Company in Letchworth."
Turned the unit around in two days with no hassle, brilliant!
I know its a common fault on many early cars but DONT waste money buying a new one these guys know what they are doing

Can you put the company details in the FAQ wiki please. Would be useful for people in the future. Can they do read lights as well?

I have a spare set of headlights with the "sidelight" problem and I'd love to have them fixed so I have a spare set in case it happens again.

On a side note - it's pretty st that AM cant or wont offer such a service given how common these types of issues seem to be.

I agree but it's even worse they have not insisted in a design change by the suppliers to stop it happening in the first place!

There would not be that much involved in a redesign to make the headlamps plastic "glass" clip into position and have a replaceable seal to allow access to the faulty internals.
But then you would not be selling £1500.00 headlamps regularly!

Yep - a redesign would be the best option - but with so many of these units already on the market - they could easily set up a service contract with a company like the Letchworth one and help their existing customers.

£1500 a pop for what is effectively a 'side light bulb change' is a pretty good screw though - so it's patently clear why they are refusing to offer a 'repair' option.
