Advise sought regarding restoring a dissolved company

Has anyone restored a dissolved company via a court order themselves? I closed a ltd company 10 years ago and carried on as a sole trader I now wish to reopen the company can I do it myself?

IIRC the same name should be available if you want it.

IIRC the company no longer exists, so no, you cannot re-open it. I believe that you may be able to incorporate a new company with the same name (if available) however I may be wrong on this. If this is not possible then you could use the same name and apend it with (2016) or similar.

You need to make sure that you don't come under Phoenix Company legislation - esp. if there was any involvement of insolvency / liquidation around the closing of the previous company.
