996 GT3 to 997 GT3

I've currently got a 2005 996 GT3 with pretty much the ideal spec of buckets and 1/2 cage, lowish millage (35k) and full OPC history, recently I've been thinking about a change, looked at Ferrari's and lambo's but think I'd end up getting fed up with the running costs.

I'm tempted to look at a change to a 997 GT3, theres a few nice looking cars for sale although I think within my price range I'd probably end up with a higher millage car, like the look of the clubsport at 911 virgin at the moment.

Has anyone else made the move from a 996 to 997 and if so would your recommend it?

Go and drive one, no one can tell you who you are. The older car under the right conditions is the better drive and has the appeal of being simpler and an older vintage but the newer car is more useable and has the appeal of greater modernity. All depends on you and also on what other cars you run.
