. The GT3 values are likely to be along the lines of the GT4, i.e. 10/15% overs in the early months then return to list or thereabouts and hold reasonable value from then on.. this would be ideal as makes it a great buy for those that want to use the car and the speculators don't see a decent return and move on to something else..
The gt4 is still 10/15% overs some 2 years on from launch ! The gt3 if following the gt4 and 991.1 RS will be at least 30% overs for a year or so reducing to at least 15% for a long time or a car price crash!

My OPC is still saying that they do not have any information at all. From reading posts on here, I am starting to disbelieve them. Could it be possible that some dealers have the amount of information that is being posted on here while others have no information?
Depends on whether the dealership is Porsche GB owned, a franchise or independent.

Also influenced by their attitude to risk post Boltongate as it appears some will not take a deposit until there is the certainty of a car from a guaranteed allocation.

Times have changed post GT4 when most OPCs took up to 40 deposits despite only receiving an initial allocation of around five cars.
Interested in the difference between the different ownership types of OPC's. Guessing maybe being that

Porsche GB - They have clarity because of they are directly owned and thus have better allocations maybe ?

Franchised - Franchises have a bit of a st fight between OPC's as that Franchises allocations are split between the OPC's they own ?

Independent - Not sure what the implciation here is ?

I am not sure that any OPC doesn't have an idea about at least some of its allocations yet...i.e. for the rest of this year. I just don't believe that with the first cars going into production in July that allocation hasn't happened yet ! There's a bloke on 911 UK whose OPC accepted a £10k deposit from him two years ago who can't get a straight answer out of them...not good.

I agree Boltongate must be a massive factor.

I guess it also comes down to how proactive your dealer is. Mine told me the dealer principle sat down on the Thursday after the announcement to sort out letters of intent and who would get a car. From previous conversations with him he seem to imply that known flippers would be discarded, non locals the same. Then he would try to allocate cars to those who he knew would drive them as oppose to collect them. The letters having had an R presumably anyways. Lastly he expects an RS customer to trade in his GT3 at reasonable pricing and not expect overs AND an RS..

All makes sense to me.

I've been told similar however they know they are getting 7 in their first run but the dealership director is working out who they go to...

Waiting game!
Snap, opc gets 7 cars this year, awaiting dealership director to decide. On a shortlist of 13 so hopeful if I don't get allocation this year, will get next year as they should get another 4-5 cars.

Noticed that your in Manchester so I'm guessing we could both be using the same OPC smile

Hope we both get one!

A certain DL franchise has taken just under 40 deposits for the GT3.. I was there on Saturday. They also have a UV RS for £195k and seem to think the GT3 won't be limited run. From conversations with my regular OPC, I'm getting the impression that those who have been been trying to get a GT car for some time will end up getting one. To the point made earlier in this thread, you just need to stay in touch.

Regarding values, I think this is likely to take the spike out of the overs pricing, increasing the risk for the speculator which should should see some return to normality in the GT market in general...
Ah yes...... the Swindon car.

Its 20k underpriced for a reason (nothing to do with the car btw).

Depends what you mean when you claim the gen 2 GT3 'won' t be a limited run. The gen 1 wasn't either and only 332 were made for the UK.

GT4P is correct regarding your inaccuracies regarding the GT4 pricing. Good try!

Prices have strengthened again as expected as we approach Spring being peak buying season. Retail for the right spec and mileage cars is just under 25% premium over otr cost. Check out the main GT4 thread if you want it confirming.

Sorry but you are also miles off with your comedic if hopeful predictions for the new GT3.

Cheers.

relax AV.. I have a GT3 coming so don't need to talk the prices down. I'm just saying what I'm seeing and I think it's for the greater good. I think we'd all like to see the heat taken out of the market so the GT cars will be rare enough to hold value but not so rare that they're unobtainable.

re the Swindon RS.. isn't the simple truth that it's being offered for £195k because he couldn't sell it for more? ..or are we missing something?

This is the voice of a man who already owns overpriced metal trying to justify the overs.

What is there to justify ? The price is what it is ,overpriced or not!

err, ok, well anyway.. the RS has the 918 buckets and they're letting anyone slide in and out like it's a carnival ride. It was my first time in an RS and I'll def spec the fixed buckets for the GT3

Had fixed buckets in our GT3RS and now in the GT4. To put it simply they are superb. Unbelievably comfortable. As I have dodgy knees from motorcycle crashes I need supportive comfortable seats. The number of times I must have remarked that I have not shifted my position whilst on a really long trip is surprising.

Okay, no worries.

Concerning the RS, some OPC cars are SOR, others are bought. Won't say any more.

Great value, reasonable mileage and good spec. A bargain for someone.

Good point.

The market sets the price.

Always has and always will.

Why but why would you spec a radio delete in a road car. I just don't get it. To save what. All of 5kg in total? That's the fat on the owners waist line most likely. Just stupid sorry..

I honestly couldn't have any better relationship with my OPC - flying over in Geneva tomorrow with their hospitality package and meeting some of the sales team over there for a few beers evening. Hell, I even went to their Christmas Party laugh I also regularly use service, and recently had another set of tyres on the GT4 from them.

Not much more I can do...
Buy some SUVs...... wink that'll help the 'relationship' far better than going to their christmas party....
laugh

Actually just about to send them email to them offering to buy a cayenne/macan in return for an allocation.
Offered to trade in my GT4 and buy a Macan for a 991.2 GT3 slot...OPC still said no frown I need a new OPC!!

Someone please spec this car so I can then buy it when its sold 3 months later...
