I don't think that'll turn out any better I am afraid - their good customers get the early slots as well so you could be waiting a while - and if yo think Porsche option prices can get out of hand.... by Ferrari standards in some cases they are amateurs (in terms of ££££)!
From experience I have found their customer service to be ok, and provided you are willing to wait they will actually supply you a car, aside from the actual limited editions of course. Agreed re the options, total exploitation.79TurboS said:
After a bit of chasing got told a no, worst thing was the patronising salesman who told me it was my fault for not buying all my recent cars at one dealership as well as being told "GT cars are invitation only" what a tt. Every other year I buy 2 new cars and between my father and I, we have a buying history for new cars at well over 30 years. Last thing I need is some salesman talking to me like that, wasn't happy. Put a hold on all purchases from here, will stick to Ferrari going forward.
After turning down my request to buy a macan as well as a GT3, my OPC suggest i try Redline Racing or GC motors (both independents) for a GT3 av185 said:

Wow.Second hand GT3s (especially black ones!) and a certain Harrogate dealer.
What could possibly go wrong.

Wow indeed. N17...so you bougtht a GT4 from this OPC and got that repsonse?!?! How many cars have you bought from them over the years ? I just find it amazing they'd say that. Incredible!
The buyer at Redline use to be a Porsche sales manager. I wonder where they are getting their cars from!?This has to be the most amusing topic ever. Trying to woo an OPC to allow them to take your money is lunacy. OMG if you had the last one which looks like the new one you should of kept it. The only thing that makes sense is for the dealers to not allocate cars to people who have had a recent GT car. This gives other people a bite of the cherry.

Yes, bought a GT4 from them and got that response. Only bought a couple of cars off them, but was trying to improve that in offering to also buy a Macan and trade the GT4, but was still told no. So I subsequently asked if there's actually anything at all I can do to secure a slot, and was then directed to the 2 independents above.Randomer123 said:
I can relate to the patronising salesman. I had a salesman ask me how many Porsches I owned currently, when I responded with "two", he scoffed and laughed, telling me I didn't stand a chance of getting a GT3.
I subsequently asked him how many Porsches he owns, and whether that was the right approach to take to an already paying customer, especially as a salesmen that was very new to the company.
Oddly, I was showered with apologies after that. fking prat.
And I'm still waiting for an update about whether I'm entitled to spend £130k, it's wearing a little thin.
I think we should all remember this treatment and treat them this way when they are trying to sell us none GT models!I subsequently asked him how many Porsches he owns, and whether that was the right approach to take to an already paying customer, especially as a salesmen that was very new to the company.

I am assuming that everyone who was going to get a car in the first round of allocations had now got the good news. For those of us in with a chance of getting a later car does anyone have a feel for when OPC's will get the next round of allocations ? When I was invited to put a deposit down I was told I should know for sure in the next couple of months. Is that consistent with what others have heard ?
Just trying to manage my paranoia !

Are you just annoyed because you won't have 1 2 flip like the gt4 or gt3rs you had?
who told you I'm not getting one? :-) I was just saying that if people are being patronised by dealers because it's a Gt product, then maybe they should return the treatment when they are being sold a none GT product.

Looks like there are too many variables atm.Initial cars only PDK, August shutdown, many OPCs not received allocations whereas bizarrely some have evidently taken up to 60 deposits...
The initial builds for UK cars will probably be July for September delivery. So these cars will need to be be final spec locked May/June. So plenty of time yet.
First allocation of c5 GT4s per OPC arrived July/August/September 2015 following an early February 2015 announcement.
The GT3 could well follow a similar pattern.
