My dealer collaborate this as being the case, maybe certain franchises haven't received their numbers yet!
Absolutely. If people choose to disbelieve their dealers then they can't have a great relationship with them.
I believe my dealer, I have no reason not to.

And latest rumour through the grapevine is that production on the 991.2 GT3 ends when summer holiday period starts in 2018, effectively making it a 1 year only production.
Got to love these 'grapevine rumours'. biggrin:

Doubt very much whether production will last that long.

Don't forget that the 991.1 production run was effectively shorter than 12 months due to the engine issues.

I guess having

2 x 997 GT3's
1 x 997 GT3 RS
1 x GT4

wasn't enough loyalty to the GT3 marque for Porsche

Front lift essential.

A car without it will be worth much less than the £1600 cost.

A real no brainer.

Yes but where's the Cayenne or the Panamera?

I would imagine that a front PU costs more than 1600 quid so yes!

Depends on where you take it. Mate of mine had a 991.1 GT3 and 991.1 RS and neither had lift and neither had problems with speed bumps etc. I had lift on my 997.2 GT3 and only used it at first... until I realised I didn't realllllly need to use it. I personally wouldn't spec it and would look for a used car without it. Just my 2p...

Didn't have lift on mine, and agree you don't really need it, but for 1500 quid might as spec it as it's very sought after in the used market.

So you've already had a GT3 and now you're crying in your knickers because you can't get another one.......?
Riiiiggghhhttttt.......

What about the many enthusiasts out there who have never had one nor will ever get one?

Take a look at yourself you selfish ****!
Easy there pal, wanting another GT product after having one already makes me selfish? You don't know me as to know the reasons why I sold my last one. So don't jump to conclusions. Sounds like you are fairly bitter about the process as we all are. Suggest you cool off a bit.

Is the GT3 any lower on the front lip than the GT4?

Something tells me that it is. I agree that the GT4 doesnt need lift unless you plan to go off-roading.

I guess not! (nor the C2, C2S, Boxster Spyder et al) Still hoping for an allocation in round two...or even an RS.

I've asked for manual even though my order is currently PDK. They said only 30% of the overall allocation will be manual apparently, so will need to wait and see if i am one of the lucky few.

Here it is http://www.porsche-code.com/PJHH7SB2
So if you have successfully managed to get an allocation for a car by spending £££££ at your local OPC, fellating the DP on a regular basis and all the other hoops you need to jump through to be granted 'chosen one' status you still may not be able to order a manual?

Limited edition options on an already limited edition car?

The whole thing is a complete pi££ take IMO.

Yes it is.....I would guesstimate around a centimetre.

But seem to remember its not the fact it is slightly lower but that the 911 has a greater overhang thus making it more prone to damage.
