This forum makes me laugh, you are either saying how great your car is or saying how the market is going to collapse! It’s simple spec a car how you want to and not how you are told to and as for the few which think values will drop to £100k you are deluded! Look at the model range and then tell yourself it’s a £100k car....they are priced wrong they should be £150k base...how can a spec’d Turbo be £180k+ and a GT3 be as little as £100k in your little minds! Anyway keep dreaming and I look forward to seeing them sitting at £100k lol!
Yes truly hilarious and most of the naysayers seem to forget that the gen 2 is simply repeating the price fluctuation of the gen 1 which at this point (late 2015) had dropped from mid £170ks to early £140ks and thereafter in the Spring of 2016 rose and stabilised around the £150ks....spec dependent of course. Despite the usual quotes about Brexit uncertainty blah blah and whether or not there will be more GT3 RS there is no reason to suggest that the gen 2 will not repeat the gen 1 price rises towards next Spring with the usual seasonal uplift. Also bear in mind that the gen 2 was £10k more expensive and has not suffered the same infamous engine issues of the gen 1 which to a degree suppressed prices. Also at this point (late 2015) there were actually more gen 1s for sale at OPCs than there are now gen 2s. Furthermore the gen 1 offered just 2 essential specs being comfort and clubsport but both PDK whereas now whilst there are more gen 2 UK cars c400 v c 332 gen1s) there are effectively 5 specs to choose from including transmission which reduces the number of cars available in each individual spec type.

Too true GT4RS ......thankfully but at least the cars will be used now ...Being lucky to be able to spec one , that was always my intention and yes I like steel brakes on track ..
Nice to hear an owner saying they specified the car to there needs rather than worry about resale. IMO there’s no better spec, it’s purely down to what floats your boat. If an OPC is making an offer to buy any gt3 it’s on there terms and not the sellers in the climate. All Porsche gt cars are struggling to sell in the current climate, I’m sure plenty of people will be sat watching prices. Clearly you aren’t one and bought the car to enjoy, good on you mate.

Well I like black on black and I would see no need for ceramics in the real world, very nice spec to me!
I agree. Solid black, imho, is one of the best colours for these cars. A bit of a pain to keep clean but looks amazing when it is. Amusing that some on here talk about the best and worst colours as if it’s a statement of fact. Every coar I have ever bought has been the right colour. As for spec, now that the BS leather, led, ceramic brake flipper spec party is well and truly over, cars like the black one with steel brakes and no frills are right in the zone for those that can be used properly on track. For a car that can be used as intended, it’s a great spec imho.
Prices are only going one way at the moment and that’s not up!
Normal car depreciation for Porsche GT cars is kicking back in, try and get a finance quote with a ballon on a car which is on overs and you will work this out pretty quickly!
Another problem people now face is they have become massively mileage sensitive due to so many low mileage cars sat for sale or sat waiting to be sold in the future.
There’s people on here who think a car with 8000 miles on the clock is high mileage, god help if that 8000 mile car had creased leather seats or didn’t have led lights !

As myself and my gang of merry men will testify to, on Saturday there were still some who buy their Porsches to drive.I was checking out used Macca 570s prices last night and rather surprisingly the vast majority had in excess of 10K miles on them for 2016 cars.Compare that to 991GT3/RS cars of similar vintage and quite a few of them have hardly been used.
Just goes to show that OPCs need to reassess their allocation process to avoid tarnishing Porsche's well deserved reputation for building drivers cars..
Just an update.
My deal is done and the car will be delivered to me by covered truck on Friday.
I have paid £129250 for it and they are not charging extra for the delivery. It seems that for once not getting an allocation and paying full list price for it has worked in my favour. I intend to do around 6k per year in it over the next 2 years and fully expect to lose around 15k per year. All quite normal at this price point I would say.
When the car is delivered I will post photos and the full spec.
