Had a quick google of his name, the only other thing I could find is that he was cleared of attempted murder a few years ago?

Hopefully we'll soon learn why the operation was carried out, it's not mentioned (that I can see) in the article

Still no updates other than a statement stating it wasn't terror related, however the local rag, the Huddersfield Examiner has released a few photos, one of which shows a forensics officer photographing a suitcase which to my eye looks to be holding a substantial amount of drugs. They've named the 'victim' as a 28 year old asian bloke from Huddersfield.

Drugs

Car theft

Terrorism

I'll wager its one of the three.

Never a good thing for anyone to get shot (without trial anyway) but the police must have had their reasons.

Read the details? It would appear Hussain had been incorrectly identified as one of the gunmen by a witness.

it does look that unlike some other places in the world where the car would be riddled with bullets, this was good shooting.

Hopefully the cop who did this was fully justified and not hung out to dry by others so as not to offend.

As a pre planned operation they were not boys scouts going camping were they?

Have the pictures of the Audi been photoshopped to hide any blood?

There's a shot of some car keys on the bonnet of the auidi, they look like they're wearing dealer / identifying tags.

Hire cars being used to deliver drugs?

seems a bit strange to shoot someone sat in a car on the motorway, must be more to this, looks like an assassination and generally our Police do try to avoid that, despite what people may say, this could be very difficult.

"Pre planner Operation", I am guessing that the plan wasnt to put a neat group of three shots to his torso from the outset ?

Not quite. A Police car was shot at last week in Bradford. Quite possible they knew the stop would result the perps pulling out guns. Not a nice job for armed police.

Also worth bearing in mind that the last time someone was shot by WYP was 7 years ago. This is not the USA, they do not take it lightly or have itchy trigger fingers.

BBC site said other people arrested and that some of them had non-firearm related injuries. This was not a random arrest and those targeted appear to have put up resistance. We will see.

If this turns out to be true, then I would say that the police are fully justified in their actions and hope the PCC return the same verdict.

Great..
But that doesn't change the fact that this was an assassination.

I dont know the guy, but im not going to support extrajudicial assassinations when we have a perfectly adequate legal system in place.
