Well I went back 26 pages of threads and couldn't see anything, so I thought I would just post it up.

Some of the Scirocco R lease deals look tempting at the moment.... but is there a new Rocco around the corner? I said last year, if there was a Scirocco R based on the Current Golf R, I would have walked to VW with my pants down just shouting "Take My Money"

However, details seem very thin on the ground..... Googling brings up a few rag tag dog on a string dubious auto websites.

But would hate to commit and then comes along the motor I really want. Anyone got any scoop/idea/rumour.... anything?!

The smart money is on there not being a MK4 Scirocco.

Rumour has it that instead there will be a sports SUV coupe instead.

There will be no replacement for the current Scirocco.

They are going to make a sort of convertible Tiguan thing to compete with the RR Evoke.

It is a shame, but I test drove one this morning, and it was still a great car! So I ordered one there and then, will be here Mid March! Can't wait!

Perfect timing, new 17 plate but you will avoid new VED rates being introduced 1/4/17

I've also ordered one ... looking forward to it! Definitely want to do the exhaust flapper mod but my DIY/mechanical skills are not existent! If I can find the corect size bung to blank of the pipes I'll give it a go

Yeah its a lease, so don't have to worry about that, but if anyone was looking to buy and didn't add any options, sounds like there are quite a few available that would be delivered at that point too.

Hard to tell from pics but the flapper will probably be the same as other cars, on my r32 its 4mm cap for actuator and a 6mm cap for hose

Does anyone know when they going to stop producing them? Maybe I should get one before they are gone. I know they are a bit old being introduced in 2008 but could get one for sentimental reasons.
