If they did hike the prices (it would be in May I understand) I wonder if it would backfire on them as the opinion seems to be the likes of a well specced GTS or S is expensive already. A small increase might not affect things too much as those wanting a new car (like me) would stretch their budget £2-3k, but if it was £10k that's another matter.A friend whose an infrequent visitor to the forum just placed his order today for '4 GTS with PDK via one of the West Midlanders dealers - he's just waiting confirmation on whether they'll let him place a special order paint colour & what it'd do for delivery if they would as it would apparently be the first '4 GTS delivered to the dealer.

I think it would be closer to 3% and they may change the cost of some options so I think you're right at around 2-3k for most customers. As they launch New models they will be new higher prices which will also help them claw back some margin. New Panamera is more expensive than the previous model and I'm sure this will continue with the forthcoming Cayenne which together both make up for a large part of Porsches sales. Then we have the Pan shooting brake so that's quite a lot of the line up refreshed. Gorsh said:

The 991 is more expensive, but also more practical, has six cylinders, it's more powerful, plus you can have things like a sunroof. The 991 isn't as big as it looks either - it's exactly the same width as my 981 BGTS (inc mirrors) and only 95mm longer. The 911 is also one of the Porsche icons.
The Cayman is a very good car, and handles at least as well as a 991. I think there is a good market for both cars, the 991 has been out a few years and is still selling well, where the Cayman has possibly lost a few buyers due to going 4 cylinder.

Hopped straight from my Cayenne into my 991 GTS yesterday and it felt very small indeed! The 991 is more expensive, but also more practical, has six cylinders, it's more powerful, plus you can have things like a sunroof. Does anyone know if the sports bucket seats are the same fitted to a 997 gt3 RS ? I'm tempted to spec them but I'm 6'4 and I couldn't fit in the RS seats. My main concerns are that not only are they too tight but they sit higher than the standard sports seats. I'm going on the Porsche driving experience this friday and I'm hoping they have some there that I can sit in but any input would be great.
Was at PEC Silverstone last week and drove the white manual 911 C2s and us was fantastic . This was after coming out of 997 GT3, GT2 and 991 GT3 RS. It was so playful in the wet and lived the manual interaction.
Drove PDK C2s around Yorkshire on Saturday , wasn't keen on it, couldn't fault it but just not me.

Sorry I haven't ordered a GTS, I recently night a 997 GT3. I went on a GT performance day, but we took out 991 C2S to try the rev blip function out and compare to heel & toe. What impressed me was how easy it was to play on limit and slide compared to GT3 , onviousky limits are so much less which helped me. Manual box was a joy to be honest. But the PDK RS was stunning even in 6c and wet circuit !!SagMan said:

Thats interesting how much less do the limits feel like? Do you know which tires the c2s was on would think most of the grip difference would be the tire typedvshannow said:

Didn't check C2S tyres but GT3 was cup 2's. Esssntially the speeds were 3-5mph into corners but you could lean on slide all way through exit. It could partly be the gearing, which is so much shorter but most notable in faster corners. To be honest it was more fun than GT3 on a cold day but not as rapid. The steering was biggest difference as the feel was not that transparent but once front end settled you could play with rear at ease. Looked stunning in white with black roof.
