By my reckoning, Fiesta I (or Ital?), Escort II (or Capri?), Sierra, Cortina III ??? ...so mid 80s?

85-86 my first year in the men's on a 500. I lost the original after I'd used it to take a photo copy for my old office many moons ago. Dunno where it is now, my mum might have it somewhere. By my reckoning, Fiesta I (or Ital?), Escort II (or Capri?), Sierra, Cortina III ??? ...so mid 80s?
Everynow and then I look at this and think mad tt,,,,

It's took awhile but Chilli has a way of making piss taking seem appealing,,,, carry on,,,,, but I have a memory like an elephant don't forget....
Now if you think a TVR's loud,,,, think again
God a miss those bikes even now.
That's a really crap pic as I'm very inexperienced and not getting my body over, truth is if that pic was taken 15 yards further my left ft will be by the rear wheel spindle dragging to keep a line (or try)
You'll never guess it but I'd already hit the fence or should I say ropes that day.

He's borrowed my bike,,, that's two front tyre's ain't it!!! Brave bds only apply
Truth is I wasn't that good, fast yes, I got a lot of good grasstrackers helping me back then so the bike was prepared and geared well even though it was way old even then.
I never won a senior meeting but got really close a few times. I was on course to win a junior meeting ( under 21 ) and no final wins,,, til I snapped the frame!
Give me a smooth track and I was really on it. I rode bikes from a very young age and came from a sporting family so I knew what I was doing,,, most the time
I've totally thrown this thread.
I'd rather you lot take the piss
,,, I'm regaining my love of banter so as I'm the only one with a proper Tvr, use it every day and I have many bells and whistles on it, your jealousy is palpable
Carry on fella's

I didn't know you were a complete motorsport expert Never saw you on Grandstand you see
^^^^ now that's clever sarcasm
I remember the Grandstands stuff,,, just, I was actually far more into moto x as a lad but I grew up around Nigel Boocock so got to liked the engines.
My friend was at national level on the grass and turned these bikes really good and early so I had loads of good advice,,, it was simply if in doubt,,,,, yeah you've got it Flat out
I rode a bored out 500 that was now a 550 because I'd fked my bike but made the final, it was the guy who'd win the final who lent it me... I gated first ahead of him I was 18 or so but he'd said before the race just follow me round,,, he came under me as expected and I rode the fastest thing I'd ever been on then or since,,, ( I'm not much of a biker)
fk me,, wheeling down the straight at 80 mph, still wheel spinning,,, thrill of your life,,,
I came forth, no trophy,it was such a shock that my arms pumped within 3 laps and I just couldn't hold the fking thing.
I'm still so upset over it 30 odd years later.... ahhhh great memories.
