E53 2003 4.6IS Door Handle Carrier

Hello I'm hoping someone can help me, I have a drivers door that will not open from outside. I've bought a replacement door handle carrier and now I need assistance with what tools and how to go about doing it! Have any members done this themselves ? If not had the same problem and had someone fix it who was that ? I'm London / Surrey. Cheers ALL
You are quite right youtube has a few vids, thanks. I followed one and got the handle carrier out and the new one in without too much hassle. What I have not been able to do is get the plastic socket on the end of the wire to snap on to the ball joint for the door lifting mechanism. I just don't have enough strength on the thumb. Did you experience any dramas with that part ?
