Awesome colour and the gen2 turbo s is the one to go for. Pretty rare and holding value very well. They seem to get snapped up very quickly. The 2 yr warranty should be peace of mind

Would you guys recommend getting an HPI check done and an independent inspection? Would the results of the 111 point check be enough? The car is going to have a major service done before being sold as the last two services were both minor ones. Also the car has had 4 owners, should that be a concern?
No the 111 point should be sufficient and car should come with 2 years Porsche Warranty

However for peace of mind you could get Peter Morgan to undertake an inspection for you.

Also feel the price is toppy, would have thought £80k would have represented market value however these cars have been appreciating.

Send me a PM if you would like additional info on 997.2 turbo S

Service history is:

10/2012 8000 miles minor
07/2015 13429 miles minor

That second service is a year late and minor instead of major, but also only 5k miles between. It has now done 18.5k without an official major service, although as London GT3 said, it was only plugs that were not done for that second service.
I think this is going to affect the future residual value of the car.

Minor service is only an oil and filter change.

Major service is far more comprehensive, also these cars are known for having issues with plug replacement if not undertaken every 4 years.

Wouldn't be happy knowing that the engine oil had been sat in the car fir 3 years due to the corrosive nature of condensation and breakdown of the oil.

However it's whether your happy with the history.

Oh, it's also on sale or return and when 1st put up was priced at £84995, then after a few days jumped up to £86995 and now back at £85995.

this car has been for sale for a while considering the lack of 997 Turbo S Coupes with PDK for sale seems a bit odd especially as when they do come up for sale they've gone in most cases before the Ad has been placed.....maybe it's the colour or the service history but I got to say I think the colour is beautiful and it looks like a fine example......probably best you research thoroughly before you buy though

I was drooling at this car yesterday!

OP it is awesome, as it is on sale or return could you not speak to the owner (its a ph members mate after all) and arrange for the major service to be completed on the car?

I really hope you get it, just so we get some photos and a little insight into ownership!

Yes, I had booked him to do an inspection tomorrow. However, it's gone now anyway, so not my problem any more. The search will continue...

Not surprised it sold even given the service history issue. They certainly are going out quick and will hold up well for the summer imo

Is it the lack of centre lock wheels, that is stopping this one being snapped up ?

No, it's because it is in Belfast. I'd have gone to see it otherwise.

The Charles Hurst car sold within 3 days of them taking it in, it's just been left on the site. Looked a stunning car with the right spec, history and mileage.

Are you sure to be sure biggrin

They had a stunning black 9914S that came and went a couple of weeks ago - in 48 or so hours (silmilar price).

There have been maybe 3-4 cars a month advertised since I started looking in September..

The one I bought was listed for sale at an OPC for about three days in total, so generally they do seem move quickly. The same day I put the deposit on mine, I drove the Brooklands car but didn't go into an detail as I had another car to view (and subsequently bought) - the Brooklands car was stunning, but was priced higher than a 2012 car with little movement in price as it was SOR which probably went against it. It seemed to disappear from the market a couple of times before it finally sold..

Looks like the moral of the story is to move fast when you find one you like. I've registered on the Porsche used approved locator and Autotrader, tried registering on JZM but their site is broken. What other dealers should I keep an eye on?

You could also try having a word with 911 Virgin as they sold one back in Sept/Oct, so do get them into stock.

I found another one that has the manual sports seats instead of the adaptive ones. Weren't the ASSs standard equipment on the Turbo S? Seems like an odd choice to change them. Is there much difference between them in comfort? I guess the major difference for me would be the lack of memory settings.
