Wow, that's quite a price for a 996 turbo S with 'ruffled' leather

Nice car but a 2008/9 997 would be my choice at that price if I was looking for a turbo!

Uhhh... ruffled leather :-(

What're peoples thoughts on the GT3 wheels on it? Something about them just doesn't look right to me,

Wow... That is punchy! 911V normally know what they're doing though.

I'm with you on the wheels, they don't quite look right on a turbo. The normal wheels look better, although I was never a fan of the GT silver coloured ones on the Turbo S

I suppose if you want a 996 Turbo S , you'll probably never find a better one. So an investment for someone. However, for that money I'd probably be looking at a 997.2 Turbo S

Standard leather is very nice and far more comfortable than plastic in hot weather.

Here's my view.

A 996 turbo S at £85k, makes a 996 turbo at £55/60k look like great value.

Sometimes you don't have to sell a car for it to make business sense.

I think the wheels look good. Wouldn't mind them on mine smile
Are they not the wheels that were fitted/an option on the later 996 GT2's?

Not quite. Turbo being a W/body uses same the width rears, but utilises a different offset. Fronts are 8J rather than the GT3's 8.5J items, this as the Turbo front hubs stick out slightly more due to having to accommodate the driveshafts.
Happy to be corrected.

The rears are 11J on the turbo rather than 12J smile

That's my old car... One of life's regrets selling it to 911V back in 2012 for £40k which at the time was strong money for a 996 Turbo. They then sold it for £45k within a day, then the world and Porsche prices went mad!

If anyone is seriously interested in buying the car then contact me and I will give you further history, however, there should be a lever arch file with the car with everything in it. I can confirm back in 2012 at around 13k miles it was original panel and paint and those wheels are a very rare factory option.
