I'm looking to replace my front number plate plinth on my 2010 V12 Vantage with the slimmer one as fitted to the later V12VS.
Does anyone know if the parts are interchangable as the later one sits lower, exposing more of the grille.
Also a part number would be useful.
Thanks for any information on this matter.

I thought the only way was to remove the plinth then double sided tape to stick the smaller plate on.

Hi Craig,

yes good idea. Ive been looking to do the same after I took the attached photo at Burghley last year
I have asked Rob at HWM who is a very helpful chap so he should get back to me with a price and diagram etc

If anyone else feels like getting rid of the V12S plinth I'd be happy to adopt it, and I'll give a donation to Help for Heroes for your trouble.

Did you get any more info? I wonder if it has any numbers embossed into it, could be also fitted on another car.

Does the V12S plinth bolt straight onto a V12 ?

I've asked Works to put one on mine whilst it's having some TLC however they said they'll need to double check as they're not sure the mounting positions are in the same place.

Plate straight onto the bumper if not.

Q?

Actually a woman called "T" did them for me biggrin

Fast and curious got his plinth and its now fitted on his V12V so I assume they go straight on.

Hi all, I'm new to PH! I'm intrigued by this slimmer V12S number plate plinth. I'm wondering if the holes would match up to fit on a V8S?
If anyone is lobbing one out I'd be interested to try it first!
Also, I'll put a pic up of our pride and joy soon!https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/12.gif

Just get a smaller plate and stick it to the front with the double sided tape provided. Keep the top flush with the bottom of the grille and there's minimal disruption to the lovely lines thumbup

Do you like using screws and plastic caps?

I used the double sided tape method six years ago.
Smooth plate with invisible fixings, and it has not fallen off yet.

By far and away the neatest way to mount the front plate smile

Just noticed that the V12VS has a smaller plinth, and then found this thread. I know that most people just chuck the old plinth and fit the plate direct to the bodywork, but I'm tempted to go with a slim plinth. Does anyone have one that they no longer want to keep?
