Having recently moved to Scotland I would be pleased if anyone with any personal experience could advise me regarding servicing north of the border.
I have had my 2010 V12V serviced at Bridge Mill Motors in the past and been very satisfied but it is going to be a a bit of a trek now :-(
Following a quick Google my options appear to be AM (Edinburgh) and Martin's Aston Services (Cumbernauld).
PM me if you think that is more appropriate

Thanks in advance

Its always been said that Murrey AM in Edinburgh are good. I would advise you make contact with a specialist car dealer Derek C Mowat who resides in Edinburgh and knows the marque well and also has good links with Aston specialists in that general area.

Good luck

Murray changed ownership - it is now Leven AM in Edinburgh.
Used them last year for annual service on V12VS. They forgot to reset the annoying warning about service being due, but the basic servicing was fine. (I am assuming other operations were involved of course !)

I've also used Leven / Murray's in Edinburgh for the last few years and would recommend them.

I just had a new Bamford Rose twin plate clutch fitted by Martins Aston Services and was very pleased with their friendly and professional manner.

I would definitely give Peter at Martin's Aston Service a call before you make a decision on where to take your car. He looks after both me pre war and Vantage throughout the year on discursive basis rather than being bound by dealership restraints and costs...

Another vote for Martins Aston Services. Very friendly and I was reassured that Peter would be looking after my car using his years of experience. There was no hard sell to get things done and the bill at the end, although not cheap was in line with what we initially discussed. Will no doubt be seeing him again later this year.

Another vote for Martin's Aston, they worked on my DB7V and did an excellent job tracking down an intermittent misfire.

I can also highly recommend Peter at Martin's Aston Services. He's looked after our DB6 for years now and is about as expert on the Vanquish as anyone i've talked to so has my full support there.

I've only used Murrays / Leven in Edinburgh, and have built a good rapport with the team there reflected by the excellent value I've enjoyed.

Didn't realise there was a specialist up here, though. Be interested to see how they compare if I end up keeping the car.

Thanks for all the replies and useful information - I have carried out a few more enquiries and conversed with Peter at Martins. They are very competitively priced and have a very pragmatic approach, therefore I will be giving them a try in April - I will report back on my experience..........

Had the service carried out last month and I can say I was very pleased with the service.
If you do not particularly value a good looking receptionist (sorry guys) and a porcelain floor but do value a very thorough vehicle check, competitive pricing, in depth and enthusiastic marque/model knowledge then this could be the place for you.
In the workshop when I was there - a 1930's Aston, DB6, MK1 Vanquish S and various Gaydon cars.
A happy customer and a recommendation if you are looking for an Aston independent in Scotland.

Good to hear positive feedback on MAS.
I'll be taking mine there in June for some bits and bobs.
Discussions with Peter have been very friendly and his prices are sensible.

Peter fitted my new Alcantara steering wheel today and now that they have AMDS software he enabled the cruise control function on my V8 Roadster which is a nice new feature of fitting the new wheel

Just a bump on this thread for anyone new on here looking for an Indie in Scotland for servicing/mods/repairs.

I was told about Peter Martin / Martin's Aston Services in Cumbernauld a few years ago and since then I couldn't have had better service for the Vantage anywhere else in Scotland.

I should also mention that he can also take delivery of those interesting/expensive parts. This has saved me getting them delivered to my house and potentially having a needless conversation with SWMBO about "cost versus need versus want"!!!!!

Servicing at Leven in Edinburgh could be a thing of the past, just gone into receivership. No main dealer in Scotland looking likely

Finally the stars aline - Both myself and the Aston are allowed out of captivity to enjoy Scotland's driving routes. 1st July for a full months tax, only 3 months later than planned. My 1st stop is a trip to Mollinsburn to check in with the boys at Martin's Aston Services. Always good to catch up and they have got the workshop up and running again to give everything the once over after a long winter hibernation. Where's your 1st trip going to be?
