Guys, my sister's e90 has just quit.
Codes are P100f / P1057 / P1062.
I understand that latter two relate to the valvetronic relay and sensor.
'anybody know anything about P100f?
TIA.

I have seen someone mention power-on reset on a forum, has the battery been replaced? Could just be a battery on its last legs?

Yes, I saw that, too.
As it was just a mention rather than a definite, I didn't want to take it as gospel. The battery is original, so might be on its way out.
I didn't read the codes, a friend of my sister did it. I will see the car tomorrow, and will have a better idea then.
After some research, it would seem that dodgy connections / water ingress to battery compartment can throw up the code as well.
Let's hope it's an easy, and inexpensive, fix.
Thanks for the reply.

Did you ever figure out the problem. I'm pulling the same codes on 318i?

IIRC, it required a replacement ECU and key.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.
