That's a Vantage! No amount of 'Stealth Technology' can mask that!

Yup looks far too short for a DB11 to me, so I would also conclude its a Vantage. Strange the press have overlooked the obvious there though...

Well spotted everyone.

Sorry about that. I posted this topic without studying the pictures closely enough. Anyway, that is my excuse. Quite an oversight on my part really, because a long time ago, I was told by (lets call him someone) that AML had made some Vantage test mules to copy the appearance of the DB11. As you all say, the shorter rear overhang is the clue.

I wonder if we might see the Mk2 Vantage at Geneva after all?

Dr.P has stated, "There will be a couple of announcements in Geneva that I'm sure will create a smile for most and a few tears for others."

Edit - spelling.

They now admit it's a Vantage but still seem to think it'll share all the DB11 styling cues.

I despair, I really do.

On the original Autocar article -
http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/aston-m...
- they have changed the photographs, but the DB11 shown now was first registered in February 2016.
Therefore at that time, probably unlikely to have been fitted with the Mercedes V8, as they say it is.

Were muddles like these, the reason why James May left Autocar?

the original article this morning had about 8 photos, the majority being of the car with a splash of green on the wing mirrors and a blurred out numberplate, then the last couple being of a car photographed a few weeks/months ago, which had a plate showing

This morning's article was an update so if you scrolled down, you had some info from the original article to accompany the two older photos

Although autocar have blurred out the plate on the recently caught car, you can find photos of the same car (with the distinctive splash of green on the wing mirrors) where the plate is showing. A check on that plate shows it's a 4 litre engine and the model section is 'unknown'

you can see the shape of the front edge of the bonnet and the front splitter is very different across the two cars
