Business credit card - credit check?

Am with Lloyds tsb for business banking and thinking of getting a business credit card. How does the credit check work? Will they use my own personal credit history? Will it show up as a hard search on there?

I presume they have to use my personal credit history as my business hasn't got any apart from the monthly account charges? Will I then build my "business" credit history up?
