Just thought I'd post on here to see if anyone else has done the same, and any drawbacks, thanks.

Having just purchased a SEAT Leon SE 1.6tdi, it unfortunately comes with the dreaded puncture kit. Doing the high mileage I do, I require something more useable than this, and am looking to put a full size spare in the wheel well. This is made for a space saver, but I do not want to rely on one of these, and their limitations if I'm blatting down thro France. So, looking to get a steel spare wheel.

Current size on the car is 205/50/16, which if fitted in the boot would lift the boot floor a little too high, on the occasions when loaded up for trips. The wheels fitted to the S model of my car, are steelies fitted with 195/60/15 tyres. So, making sure the offsets are similar, are their any issues with this spare wheel choice ? The larger wheel has a diameter of 611mm, and the smaller wheel, 615mm, so no issue there, and as I say both wheels are std fitment to the model of car in different trims.
