Handing back my lease car in May and keeping an eye out for a replacement. Around £1500 but can increase it slightly. Been browsing eBay and auto trader and seen 3 options that I like. Live close to work, so my commute is minimal, and only cover local distances at the weekend. We use my gf's car for anything long distance.

Volvo 740 - my dad had one, it's big and no need for the estate but do like them. Maybe lower it and keep the rest standard.

Saab 9-5 - tuneable and fancy a few extra bhp with the minimal look. The green and velour is a nice combo.

Accord - like the old school version, reliable, performance not important. The lowered one looks very retro.

Where would you put £1500? Anything else slightly away from the norm I should look at?

Cheers

Just to add I am a bald 35 year old if that makes a difference.

I do like that Accord, the white wheels do scream car park racer though.

Why avoid the Saab?
