New to me 997 gen 1

Picked up Saturday from OPC Bristol. Wanted one for a long time and now she's mine. Not the best pics as the sun was out and shining into the showroom.

These have aged so well - one of the prettiest 911s.

Saw one of these having a bit of fun with a 981 and the Carrera S looked a million dollars. Also 981 was quite big in comparison which surprised me. Welcome to the 997 club

Congrats, great looking car and colour. something about the Gen 1 looks seems to be aging incredibly well, like a fine wine.

Had mine for 2 years now 2005 c2s and it's just fantastic, owned 3.2 964 and driven many 996 but 997.1 is the best drive for me.

Owned similar cars and I have to agree - 997.1 a very special car. 997.2 also very good indeed. Both Carrera S and Carrera through both generations fabulous in fact pick of the bunch money no object for me is a basic manual 997.2 Carrera. Loves too be revved out!

They don't have the character of the air cooled though for me but drive wise a 997 is the sweet spot with the gen 1 997 by far the prettiest. Mopes off to look through the classifieds.....

Loving this. The first car ive had that you can't just jump in and drive at 9-10/10.
