No, not an attempt at humour, a serious question. I would not want a Black car with Yellow Calipers, Silver stripes on the seats and Red Seat Belts for instance. However, if you could get PCCB's and have the Calipers painted Red, that could be interesting.
Just out of interest this is one of my possibles - interior shot on a jet black metallic car and if I go PCCB, which is highly likely. A little red in the interior is fine I think. Porsche seem to agree too as you can't option yellow stitching or a yellow band on the steering wheel. Grey stitching and a red band to go with the harness plus grey seat belts looks fine.

Or this with yellow belts which I don't like as you then have too many contrasting colours in the cabin. On a non CS car this would be fine obviously. its just that when you throw CS into the mix it causes potential issues:

You can I am sure have the calipers painted by Porche but you're entering into major cost territory. You'd probably be looking at a few grand to have that done which is why you rarely see any cars where that's been done.
I was also wondering if you could get aftermarket Yellow harnesses (or any other colour), black would be a lot more discreet for instance.

A group of us are going on our yearly pilgrimage to Germany at the end of April.

We are doing the Factory Tour again so what will the chances be of seeing a GT3 on the production line or possibly some complete cars parked up in the factory car park where the finished cars are kept until collection by the delivery transporters?

After this explanation i sort of agree with you, i've specced PCCBs ,silver stitching, silver wheels and red belts and steering wheel marker the same as my GT4 which is guards red and works better than it sounds. The ideal solution would be yellow stitching, belts and steering wheel marker which might become an option if we do get a confirmed allocation...

How hard would it be to get that done aftermarket and would it void the warranty?
Carried out by a professional outfit I can see no reason why there'd be a warranty issue. Worst case scenario it'd void the warranty on the calipers themselves, but if the colour change was carried out by a professional outfit there's no reason to think a warranty claim would be forthcoming.

These guys are good (though sometimes slow)

http://www.brakecaliperspecialists.uk/brake-calipe...

You'd be in for the labour to remove and refit the calipers plus bleeding the system once they're refitted. 3 hours tops I'd suggest.
BCS will paint them any colour you want and manufacture the correct decals in house too.

Does anyone know if option 603 - Bi-Xenon main headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) @ £497 are in black or grey? They look black on the configurator but don't say so. Only the LED lights have a "black" option in the description.

I'd also suggest you wind your neck in a tad.
Jog on pal, I'd counter that if you don't like criticism then maybe forums aren't for you...

However when you're not rowing with Demon you post some sensible stuff, so maybe you just lose reasoning with him?

They're in black Phooey but the edges stay grey. Only the LED main lights in black have a black surround.
If you go onto the configurator and click on the various options, you will see the difference on the car model as it changes.

I'm going for thesis are they're very good on my GTS and I dont need anything brighter

For those who dislike the red/silver stripes on the bucket seat, help may be at hand.
GT3 Brochure Page 64:-

Leather interior decorative stitching in red.
For an exquisite racing-style touch, red decorative stitching is available as an option for the leather interior. Depending on the seat variant, this is accompanied by red ‘GT3’ logos on the headrests or red contrasting stripes on the seat centres with ‘GT3’ logo. The ‘GT3’ logo on the rear transmission tunnel trim panel also comes in red.

Sorry but technology befuddles my aging grey matter & means I can't highlight the "or" in the second sentence of the copy & paste, doh!

Think this basically means the chair cars have a red GT3 logo on the headrest only and no stripes whereas the bucketed cars have the stripes.

As someone pointed out previously when I raised the possibility of stripe delete on the grounds of chaverry overload ( imo) this MAY hopefully be possible via Porsche exclusive.

For those of you contemplating Riviera Blue having secured your PTS slot JZM have just taken a Gen 1 in. I would speculate as to whether that's value but this is the "speccing" thread!

I think what this means is if you choose standard sport plus or 18ways it comes with red GT3 logos on the headrests and if you choose either of the bucket seats it comes with the red seat stripe instead.

oops just noticed av185 beat me to the punch..!

What are people thoughts on darkened rear and side windows?
I'll be going club sport so could see the detail of the cage more without it. ? Thoughts ?

Naff. But may go well with the pinstripe wheels and seats, and pseudo-German number plates that are popular with certain VW boys.

That's lovely that and to think that would have been circa £160k a little while back!

I have these on my spec but I'm considering taking them off to show off the rear and cage

I think naff is a bit strong. It not as it it's a Halfords special. I have them on my 991 GTS which is gt silver and it goes well with the glass roof giving a complete black top to the car. Also it's not completely darkened just tinted so it's not boy racer in my view. Still undecided on it though.

It amazes me that with all the personalisation options Porsche offer, you can't request different colour harnesses.

Don't think they belong on a 911 to be honest...least of all a GT3.

Its a supplier issue, not a Porsche issue.....The harnesses are made by Schroth, and you can buy directly from them, and they offer 4 colours (black, red, blue, silver). Part no is Schroth Profi II-6H.
