Well the Tracer was sold around a month ago and I was planning on being bike free for a while. That didn't last long hehe

Have just bought a 2010 Ducati 848 to replace it. It has highish mileage and a few little bits to sort but it looks great, has been well looked after and was very good value so hopefully the gamble pays off. I was actually on the look out for a 749 but this came up in the same price range and is utterly gorgeous so couldn't help myself. This will be my 4th Ducati.

Should be picking it up tomorrow!

Nice, I'm considering getting a Ducati. There seems to be wallet creep though...£5k for a 749, £6k for an 848, £7k for an Evo, £8k for a Corse and then £9k for an 899....not sure where the sweet spot is.

My 2011 848 evo was a hard sell. It was immaculate with full history and sold eventually for 6k a few months back. It looks like they have crept up in price but I doubt they are selling if my experience is anything to go buy.

& some clear Stomp Grips. Lovely apart from these two little gripes.

Edit: & lose the rim tape. You probably intended to make these changes anyway.

I'm also thinking of getting back in to Ducati ownership, I think a good standard unmolested 999 for just over £5000 is a wise buy at the moment.

Thanks guys, yes rim tape, screen and grips are all on the list to replace hehe

It has just over 30k on it but a good service history and a few marks around the body, but overall is very nice (much better than the 10k mile 749 i viewed on friday). For £4k couldnt pass it up!

Once ive given it a good clean i will get sone better pics

Crummy rim tape and pillion footpegs removed. Also have a new exhaust heat shield on order to replaced the current damaged one.

I think the 999 is the best looking Ducati of them all.

I keep toying with a Ducati superbike, having had a few Monsters, but as I use the Duc for the commute each day, I just don't think I could do it to a superbike. I would be too worried about it getting dirty. For some reason I don't mind the Monster 821 being covered in ACF50. Although I did have to clean the wheels down this morning before I left for work!
