The N420 was one of Aston's 'limited edition'or special run V8 Vantages. Sports pack, and sports exhaust were standard along with quite a few bits of carbon fibre - splitter, strikes, diffuser etc.
The seats are stitched and each was numbered ## of 420.
I don't think they were quite as different to the standard 4.7 Vantage, as the N400 was to the standard 4.3... But it's still nice to have something that little bit different.
Anny excuse for a picture

I think the N420 was the nicest of the pre facelift 4.7 Vantages. Lots of nice carbon bits. Not sure what the price uplift is for a used one though, they are pretty rare to find for sale used and hard to compare like for like with the same model year used car non N420. Definitely have a premium. Really depends on what else on the used market, you may find a newer facelift 4.7 for not that much more, then it really depends on the bumper shape you prefer....
Depends...when I upgraded last year from my 2006 model, I looked at a couple of N420 for sale at the same time and one was more money than a 2012.25MY car that Id seen that met required spec, so I went for the latter (which had 2x the miles but that did not concern me)
I think you have to decide exactly what model you are after (do some research and drive a few) then just watch the classifieds and call a few dealers, be patient and wait for the right car for you
