Hi all
Gone for the upgrade zenons with pdls . My car has been delayed ( shock horror!) and I wondered if the led are worth the extra 800
I've heard from a friend who has a Porsche it can cost 500 to have a lightbulb replaced because half the car has to be dismantled to change a bulb
Obviously LEDs should last longer and not prone to blow after a few years etc so may be "cheaper" in the long run
Any thoughts please

By strange coincidence I watched this earlier. Shame he wasn't able to test standard xenons too. It's a 911 but I'd imagine the tech is the same https://youtu.be/Bqv9GdiFQUg

The light is brighter and better but there isn't as much difference as halogen-xenon.

However, a car without LEDs will age quickly imho.

Personally I don't think on the basis of performance that they are worth it.

I agree to a point. The LED headlights are a better match for the rear lights, but come at a cost. I was told by my salesman that Porsche were moving towards having the four point running lights as standard. Standard 718 lights don't have them but PDLS and LED do. I think the lack of them in the standard lights will date faster than PDLS which does IMO.

The 991.2 models have the four point LED daytime running lights - think it's all models but definitely the S and GTS models. Also on the 991.2 the only way to get the dynamic high beam (PDLS+) is with LEDs.
