Taking a business contact out for a curry next week. Nothing posh, but I want it to be a good restaurant. Any ideas?

I guess we're not far from Brick Lane, but my one experience there was not pleasant...

Spice Trader on Philpot Lane, my #1 go-to curry in the city for last 15+ years.

Both Tayaabs and Lahore are good. The former does have off days IME, isn't as good choice wise. Both BYOB.

I haven't been for a very long time, but Cafe Spice Namaste used to be a decent, "different" curry shop. Not as cheap as traditional curry places but the quality of the food was great.
