We have seen our conversion rate drop to zero with Yell. It was already falling off a cliff, so no shock.
I am having a discussion with them and don't plan to renew this year for the first time in 30 odd years. (we stopped the book a couple of years ago).

They tell me that their stats are not accurate via google as they are "secure" and google does not report their conversions.

This sounds a bit sus to me. Can anyone confirm?

FWIW I can still see the traffic..... just not the conversions.... hence I am not 100% sure what they are saying is legit.

I'd forgotten they still existed.

I could see the point of the phone book - depending on how old your customers are. I'm struggling (and have done for some time) to understand who would search yell rather than google....

I've heard this from a number of sources.

I know *no one* that goes through Yell to find a company to use. I think Google stats are closer to the truth than anything else.

Being on Yell can help to raise a Google profile but if it's not doing it already by putting you on page one, then there's little point.
