Off to Shanghai for the next race - very excited to see the race as well as Shanghai city.

The info with my tickets is rather sparse. Can anyone point me in a good direction to a website with some solid information on the weekend, such as how to get to the track, support race schedule etc. We are staying at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong so hopefully it's not too far of a trek to get to the track.

Any other tips would be much appreciated too! TIA

Never been to the GP in China, but been to Shanghai/Suzhou area many times for work.
GP circuit is a bit out of town IIRC

Underground system is easy to use to get around the city, and the ticket desk staff at the bigger stations usually have basic English.

Make sure you do one of the skybars - you can go to the one in the world financial centre "bottle opener" building for an expensive by chinese standards beer or cocktail, but its better value than going to the observation deck which is only one floor higher. If you want a table at the window you may need to book ahead.
Go in the evening and you can look down on the illuminated pearl tv building.
(I was there once when the bar was above the cloud level....or pollution level)

Decent italian restaurant DaMarco at 350 Yushan Road.

If using taxis , don't forget to always have the address in chinese characters for the driver.Always insist on metered fare. No prob to/from big hotels as the doorman
will argue with them for you :-)
Restaurants tend to close early by western standards and subway.

If You are using a local phone/sim google incl google maps will not work.
Usually ok on western sim ,but chakc your data costs - China is outside many of the roaming packages.

enjoy it and get out and about - the scale of the place will blow your mind. 24 million population in Shanghai alone

Good bar restaurant area in xintiandi, few subway stops from Pudong.

from the subway map, shanghai circuit has a subway staton (top left of the map) but it looks like a bit of a hike from pudong.
Hotel concierge should be able ot advise about other optoins/taxi cost.

Transport guide on this website as well.

I've seen the TCR and Porsche suport races in Singapore and they're usually good close racing. more so than f1.....

Good advice. Dont forget your visa in good time and always carry your passport with you when out and about
