Can anyone remind me whether it is absolutely essential to split the trumpet base from the manifold to get at the manifold to head bolts? Realise it will be easier but can't recall whether the mani and base will come off as one lump after the plenum top is off...

Manifold comes of with plenum base, fuel rail and injectors still in place.
Don't thing there would be any advantage in taking the base and fuel stuff of anyway.
The plenum could also be in place if it weren't for it being tucked under the grill at the base of the windscreen. Would be OK on the V8S.
