GT2RS Custom Livery
Discussion
Its a fantastic homage to historic 70's racing Porsches..I've always loved Martini livery on 991s ever since i had one on my Scaletrix set back in the 70s..The fact its all painted, and not wrapped is especially impressive and will always remain unique..
Well at least until i do exactly the same on my next RS which will devalue Mark's by at least 200K..Just as well he's not a flipper..!
I love the subtle Scottish theme on the rear wing endplates , and i dare say will look even better with the Welsh dragon instead..
Now there's a thought..!
If i make this years Silverstone classic, i'll see you down in the pits and hopefully scrounge a lap or two..

Without doubt, hands-down, the Martini sponsored cars - not just Porsche, but BMW and Lancia and others - are the single best sponsor colour scheme, bar none.
My current car is white and the Martini livery was a strong contender when I got my graphics done, but although Mrs Digga likes the colours - looks superb on current Williams F1 for example - she was adamant in saying "you do not want to advertise Martini, do you?" Sometimes you know when questions are not actually questions. I did think of replying that Holden's Brewery, Dudley have never sponsored Porsche racing cars, but decided against it.

Your other half makes a good point. As a rule I also share it - but this is so beautifuuly done. I see it as art.
On the subject of advertising. I wonder how Motorola feel about the lycra whale that cycles past my house. I cant see him doing much for the brand... One day i'm going to buy a harpoon

I apologise in advance for being the sole dissenter on this thread, but I think the OP's car looks bloody awful. It's not as if a GT2 RS is exactly discrete at the best of times, but plastering Martini livery screams "trying too hard" I'm afraid.
The Martini livery should be utilised solely on competition cars :

Just no
As for repainting an R in your colour of choice OP, fair play to you

I saw a 918 in the process of being painted in this livery at Reading a couple of weeks ago.
Pretty sure that was my car, not a 918. It was in same area as 918s and CGTs being reassembled. Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
