Went for a drive this morning and suffered a Porsche Active Drivetrain Mounts (PADM) error (991.1 GT3) - has anyone had this before and can explain what might have occurred?

Fortunately the car is off to Mid-Sussex tomorrow for its 4-year service, MOT etc, so they will hopefully get to the bottom of the problem!

Caysters have had the problem reported. New dynamic engine mount required, £1500ish each from memory.

Covered under the extended warranty if you have one I believe.

Had this in my 991.1 GT3 new mounts done under warranty, think it was last summer at around 10k miles, it happened on a spirited run.

Thanks - is it a quick / easy job, or are they going to need the car for a while? The car is still under warranty.

It was in for couple of days, i had other cars so no issue for me, they picked it up and brought it back when done. Worth a call to see what courtesy car is available

Ive had two of these replaced in my ‘15 981S, fortunately both under warranty. It’s about a 4 hr job it’s just they have to diagnose the issue and get the part in first. In my case I had a 2 week wait for the part as the warehouse was out.

I spoke to the engineer about it an apparently it’s the internal coils that short out/fail meaning it becomes no longer adaptive. The engineer claims the design has been changed and said he had seen no failures in ones that he had previously replaced... we will see.

As per my earlier post, my car is booked tomorrow for a service, MOT and an airbag repair, so I already have a courtesy car booked for the day. It's more the hassle of finding time (and taking another day off) to arrange to collect the car in due course.

I guess I could get them to deliver the car home (when my wife will be around) and collect the courtesy car at the same time - I have my other car for day-to-day use in the meantime.
